Intro to Hula Hooping
Learn hooping for health, fun, and creative self-expression! Never hooped before? No experience necessary!
In the Intro to Hula Hooping Series you will learn to hoop in a fun and supportive environment in a class that you will look forward to every week.
You will be introduced to the basics of on the body hooping (including your waist, chest and knees) as well as off-the-body hooping tricks using your hands.
Hoops will be provided for use in class if you don’t have your own, and there will be hoops for sale if you want to take one home and keep on practicing after class.
What should you bring to to class?
Make sure you wear comfortable clothing such as yoga or fitness wear – keeping in mind that natural fibers are much easier to learn with. Slippery synthetic fibers make it harder for the hoop to get a “grip”. Wear clean runners or dance/gymnastics slippers.
Bring a water bottle! Hooping will get your heart pumping! Whether you’re in it for exercise or artistic expression, hooping is great exercise and you will find yourself sweating well before the end of class.
